It is a part of CMR Group of Institutions, promoted by CMR Jnanadhara Trust, serves the people of the society regardless of socio-economic levels. CMRIMS is affiliated to Bangalore University and approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.  It is recognized by the UGC, Government of India and Government of Karnataka and accredited by NAAC.
