MAT 2016 Eligibility Criteria
The following conditions need to be fulfilled by the applicants in order to be eligible for MAT 2016 exam:
- The applicants should be graduates in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Applicants yet to appear for the final year graduation board examinations are also eligible apply.
- MAT is conducted 4 times in a year, in the months of February, May, September and December in both written and online format.
- Roughly 20,000 applicants take the exam in each session.
- Although the exam is offered in both the formats, majority of the applicants opt for the paper pencil based format.
- The applicants can appear for more than once.
MAT 2016 Application Form
In order to apply for this particular course, aspiring applicants can go online and fill the form on the official website, or the applicants can purchase the MAT Bulletin and CD from listed branches of Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda and AIMA Study Centre in offline mode.
The applicant needs to follow the instructions given below step by step:
- The application fee for all categories is Rs. 1200/.
- A valid e-mail id has to be provided to receive notifications via email.
- Personal details such as full name, address, personal email id, contact number, last educational institute attended etc.
- Images of scanned photos and signature are to be submitted.
- The fees have to be paid in the form of a demand draft in the name of “All India Management Association”.
- In online mode, the applicant can make the payment only through net banking, credit card and debit card.

MAT 2016 Paper Pattern
The paper pattern for MAT 2016 is as follows:
- This particular examination is conducted in written format as well as online format.
- The duration for this exam is 2 hours 30 minutes.
- A total of 200 multiple choice objective type questions will be asked in the paper.
- Each correct answer will consist of 1 mark.
- Negative marking is applicable for this examination.
- Each wrong answer will take away 0.25 marks.
