(XIMR), Mumbai is one of the most prestigious institutes of management in
Mumbai which was founded in the year 1963 as St. Xavier Institute of Industry
The institute was replaced by a new
Institution, Xavier Institute of Management & Research (XIMR), Mumbai in
July 2006 to meet the rising demand for executives with a global perspective as
Indian companies increasingly sought growth beyond our borders.
He institute began with the two-year
full time Master of Management Studies (MMS) program of the University of
Mumbai in August 2006.
The institute has the DNA of the
finest education and human values from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. The
college has produced scientists, writers, artists, thinkers and, above all,
leaders who have shaped the practice of management in organizations across the
world.
The institute stands on the three

Executive Placement
Process:
- Companies can conduct a Pre Placement Talk (PPT) on a date which is convenient to the company and XIMR. In case company cannot come for the PPT, a softcopy of PPT could be forwarded which will then be shown to the students.
- PPT needs to include the company profile, available job profiles, progression of career and compensation details.
- Interested students will then apply for the position.
- The company may then short list the candidates and conduct first level selection process (GD/Case Study/Test) for short listed students during the Placement Week. In case if the company is unable to make it during the Placement week, they may contact the Placement Coordinator for a convenient date.

This program provide students with a
thorough grounding in general management through holistic education &
develop a deep appreciation of issues related to developing and sustaining
competitive advantages in global markets .
Master of Management Studies
provides students with thorough groundings in fundamentals of Management
Education, a holistic perspective, and a global focus throughout the course;
develop a deep appreciation of issues related to developing, nurturing, and
projecting competitive advantage glob.
Eligibility-
Candidates must have completed
Graduation with 50% marks from a Recognized University.
Admission Procedure-
- On the basis of MAH-CET/CMAT scores followed by GD/PI.
- For CAP seats, admission will be through The DTE CAP Rounds.
- For Minority seats / Institute Level seats, the Institute will accept MAH-CET/CMAT scores. GD/PI will be conducted for CMAT candidates, and Candidates who have written MAH-CET, but not wanting to appear for DTE’s GD/PI. In case candidates have appeared for DTE’s GD/PI, The DTE/MAH-CET score will be treated as final for the purpose of admission, and no separate GD/PI will be considered for such candidates.
- For CAP vacancies, admission will be as per DTE norms. Vacancies, if any, will be displayed on the Institute Notice Board & on our website. No separate communication will be made in this regard.
