Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of
Management Studies and Research (BVIMSR), Mumbai was founded in 1984.
It also conducts an Executive MBA
program which is a weekend, part time course in order to cater to the needs of
industry and working professional.
It has also introduced a Masters in
Financial Management, three years part time course from July 2008.
The goal of the institute is to
contribute the intellectual awakening and social transformation taking place in
the educational, economic, social and cultural spheres across India and
particularly in Maharashtra.

Placements are above average amongst
MMS colleges in Mumbai University. BVIMSR records nearly 100% placements and
the salary offered is a modest 4 lakh an annum. During summer internships too,
those applying through the college are assured of 3-months training internship.
Companies like Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank and Birla Sun-Life Insurance
recruit in big numbers, most profiles offered being “marketing”.

During the first year of the
program, the students are exposed to various functional areas of management. In
the second year, they opt for one of the functional specializations offered by
he institute viz., Finance, HR, Marketing and Systems. This ensures that the
students are well acquainted with one management discipline while possessing a
general perspective of the other disciplines. After the completion of the first
year, the students are required to undertake industry projects for two months
to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical learning.

Eligibility
The candidate must process a
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent
there to. He/She must secure minimum 50% marks in the graduation. The students
who have appeared for their final examination of degree and awaiting results are
also eligible to apply. However, their admission will be subject to their
passing the qualification examination on the date of commencement of the
curricular program.
Admission Procedure
The Admission test will be conducted
by Director of Technical Education (DTE), followed by GD & Personal
Interview.
